Credit providers who are members of the Small Business Financial Exchange may want to mark their calendars for the SBFE annual meeting. Attendance is free for SBFE members. SBFE members contribute commercial credit performance data to SBFE where it cannot be used for marketing purposes. They can purchase SBFE data-driven products (through SBFE Certified Vendors) for credit decisioning purposes.

While FICO is most well-known for its consumer credit FICO scores, it also offers a commercial credit scoring solution -- the FICO LiquidCredit Small Business Scoring Service (FICO SBSS). It is used primarily by financial institutions to assess risk in commercial credit decisions and is required for prescreening certain SBA loans. The National Association of Credit Management’s 127th Credit Congress & Exposition 2023 is considered the premier conference and expo for business credit and financial services conference in the US. Many credit managers and analysts put this conference on their calendar year after year.
This year, there will be more than 60 educational sessions, including topics in credit management, international credit management, technology and credit, and more. The expo will feature exhibit booths as well as demos, mini-sessions and Q&As with exhibitors.
The National Association of Credit Management (NACM) was founded in 1896 and its members are credit and financial executives, many of whom represent manufacturers, wholesalers, financial institutions and varied service organizations. NACM states its mission as “(positioning) business credit professionals for success while setting standards of excellence in business credit and financial management.”

Credit Management Association puts together their annual CreditScape conference. CMA is a not-for-profit association that helps businesses make faster and more accurate credit decisions. The organization has roots dating back to 1883 when a small group of Southern California merchants organized the Los Angeles Board of Trade. CreditScape brings attendees together for three days of learning, peer networking, subject-matter expert panels and education.
